PITTSBURGH, Pa., October 22, 2007 - The Denim Drive is still receiving donations for old denim apparel until 31 October. Students may drop off your denim in SRCC 218, WWPH 4100, 840 WPU or in the residence hall lounges.
Denim products are not just limited to jeans and do not have to be in good condition. The denim will be recycled and used to make insulation for houses ravaged by hurricane Katrina.
The drive is sponsored by the Cotton, From Blue to Green program, which assists in helping to rebuild hurricane-ravaged homes in Louisiana. This year, Cotton Incorporated is honored to work with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Baton Rouge to help in the rebuilding of homes for hurricane-affected families and to show how students can make a difference and give back to a community in need.

ABOUT STUDENT GOVERNMENT BOARD - The Student Government Board exists to provide undergraduate, non-CGS students with representation as a student voice to University administration. The SGB represents the needs, interests, and concerns of all Pitt students. Another important aspect of the SGB is allocation of the student activities fee, which provides money to over 350 student organizations at the University of Pittsburgh.
The board is comprised of one President and eight Board Members, all elected by the student body. The SGB also has ten standing committees who address various aspects of campus life, including diversity, freshman involvement, and governmental relations.
